Spring is in the air and believe it or not, so are iPads. Apple will hold a live event tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. ET to introduce the new entries to its tablet lineup. So what is the company ? Tablets as far as the eye can see. Apple has been coy about which iPads are being updated, but rumors and reports point to a new OLED iPad Pro and a refreshed iPad Air.
The iPad Pro is rumored to even skip the M3 chipset Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggested that there is a “strong possibility” that the tablet could feature the next-generation M4. He also revealed that Apple will be basing its iPad Pro on some new brand of artificial intelligence, calling it the company’s “first truly AI-powered device.”
Apart from potentially having an AI to answer questions confidently but incorrectly, this . That means a gorgeous display that should bring richer colors and deeper blacks to the line. OLED panels are also thinner than LCD panels, so this could be one slim gadget. The iPad Pro is also rumored to have a glass back .
It’s been two years since the iPad Air update, which is a lifetime in tech years. The updated iPad Air likely won’t have a next-generation chipset or an OLED display. However, the M2 boasts an improved chip. Current models still sport the old M1. Reports also suggest that the iPad Air’s front-facing camera is moving to a landscape edge.
It is also possible that the tablet is rich in creatine, as rumors suggest that Apple is preparing the first 12.9-inch iPad Air. This will make it the most budget-friendly choice for a large-screen iPad tablet.
The event won’t be just for iPads. This will also be the case for iPad accessories. To that end, expect Apple to introduce an updated Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro line, which could be made out of aluminum. In addition, Apple is expected to introduce the new Apple Pencil replacing the second generation model. Some reports have even suggested that the next Apple Pencil might be in the works in addition to tablet apps.
