Mercedes’ new EQS looks a lot more like an S-Class

Mercedes-Benz released the first image of its car 2025 EQS electric car the model comes with a new grille design featuring chrome plates on a dark black background and a standing star on the hood. It is with these changes that the upcoming EQS bears a more pronounced resemblance to Benz’s S-Class, its counterpart in the automaker’s non-EV line-up. predecessor does. In addition to more traditional Benz looks and upgrades that make the seats more comfortable, the 2025 EQS will also come with a larger battery.

Its new battery has a greater usable capacity of 118 kWh compared to the old model’s 108.4 kWh. Of course, the higher the kWh, the longer the EV’s range – the first EQS had an EPA-estimated range of 350 miles, so expect Mercedes to announce a longer range than that. The 2025 EQS will feature a new regenerative braking program that the automaker says can recover more energy for use. This will also contribute to longer range, less use of the car’s brake discs and better pedal feel.

The automaker has yet to say how much the model will cost, but prices are expected to exceed $100,000 when it hits US dealerships later this year.
