In addition to 4K footage, you can shoot in HDR at 5.3K resolution at 60 frames per second. With 10-bit color support, you can shoot in 4K at 120fps. The vertical capture feature makes it easy to capture footage for apps like TikTok, even when the camera is in horizontal orientation.

GoPro’s stabilization technology is in full effect here, too, with the company claiming that HyperSmooth 6.0 can give you “impossibly smooth footage, no matter how rough.” The horizon lock option should keep the horizon stable while moving the camera.

Media Mode, which also has a 3.5mm microphone port and a micro HDMI port, has support for directional audio thanks to the microphone. You can also connect AirPods, Bluetooth headphones and wireless microphones to the camera and even use voice commands.

The battery grip allows one-handed operation of the camera. It has a built-in tripod and you can remove it to remotely control the GoPro Hero 12 from up to 30 meters (98 feet) away. Along with the battery holder and Media Mod, the package includes the self-explanatory Light Mod and Enduro Battery.
