Netflix is introducing a new feature called Moments that lets you save, share, and easily re-watch certain scenes from shows and movies. So if there’s a killer plot or shocking twist in a particular comedy you want a friend to see can’t get enough of it, it can be useful.
This feature will be mobile only for now. Moments debuts worldwide today on Netflix’s iOS app. It will be available on Android in the coming weeks.
When you see a scene you want to save or share, just tap the Moments button at the top of the screen. It will be saved in My Netflix tab. You’ll be able to go back to Moments on your phone whenever you want. Netflix says that when you rewatch episodes and movies, it will start playing from bookmarked scenes. When you create a moment, you also have the option to share a moment on social media platforms or messages. You can also share scenes with your friends from the My Netflix tab.
Netflix has been around for a long time for episodes and movies, but it’s a smart idea to add an easy way to help users rewatch their favorite scenes and share them with friends. It seems that the company’s clips will take this feature and they have been offering for several years. As the company writes, there may be more to come from Netflix on that front “Moments will hopefully expand in the future and offer members even more ways to use and enjoy the feature.”
