Apple will host a virtual event on May 7th, ahead of WWDC

Apple’s World Creators Conference only for several weeks, but the company simply can’t wait that long to make a few more announcements. He has planned a virtual event for May 7. The stream will be available on the Apple website and Apple TV app (and likely YouTube) and will begin at 10 a.m. ET.

As always, Apple isn’t exactly forthcoming about what to expect. However, the animation he included in the ad shows a hand holding a hand Apple Pencil in the center of the stylized, colorful Apple logo. This suggests that the event will likely focus on the iPad.

There were rumors it rotates for a while Apple would refresh the iPad Pro and iPad Air in several sizes with the M3 and M2 chips, respectively, in May. The company is expected to bring OLED displays to the iPad Pro, while also adding a larger 12.9-inch iPad Air to the lineup. Reports suggest that a new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro and a new Apple Pencil may also be on sale. Either way, it’s been more than two years since the last iPad Air and nearly 18 months since the debut of the M2-powered iPad Pro, so both should be refreshed.
