Interstellar is coming back to theaters in September for its 10-year anniversary


It’s been almost 10 years since Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi odyssey. Interstellar was first released in theaters, and to celebrate the upcoming anniversary, Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. brings it back to the big screen. Per Paramount made the announcement at CinemaCon this week Interstellar It will be re-released in IMAX 70mm and digitally on September 27, 2024. interstellar, The film, starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, debuted in the US in the fall of 2014.

In true Nolan form, the film is a bit of a mind-bender. Interstellar presents us with an uninhabitable near-future Earth due to an unconquerable blight that destroys almost all food. A group of astronauts venture into space in search of another planet that might support life, use a wormhole to reach a galaxy beyond our own, and a space-time freak occurs. It’s a great movie, and it was well-received upon release (even if it confused a ton of people about what was going on), going on to gross around $731 million globally. Diversity.
