Ubisoft+ Classics is now available as a standalone subscription on PlayStation consoles


Ubisoft+ Classics on PlayStation consoles. This is a curated collection of Ubisoft’s back catalog that allows PS4 and PS5 owners to play Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed until the hot death of the universe. Subscribers can choose from over 50 games dating back more than a decade.

This isn’t a dumping ground for under-reviewed backpackers, as there are plenty of recent hits to choose from. Members can play , staff shooter Rainbow Six Siege, side rotating platform Rayman legends and among many others. In total, there are five Far Cry installments and 12 Assassin’s Creed games to choose from. There are also separate titles in the catalog Immortals Fenyx Rising, Child of Light and Bravehearts: The Great War.

Subscription to Ubisoft+ Classics for PlayStation on its own, though it’s still available as part of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. So this membership is for Ubisoft super fans who don’t want access to all the other benefits that a dedicated PS Plus membership provides. There must be a few people like that out there, right?

There is also one Ubisoft+ Premium level, it costs $18 per month. This more expensive membership includes first-day access to new releases, early access games, monthly rewards, and more. plus includes premium editions of the entire back catalog. Ubisoft+ Premium, however, is currently only available for Xbox, Amazon Luna, and PC.

There is an elephant in the room with multiplayer. games like Rainbow Six Siege it’s no fun without other people, but apparently the Ubisoft+ Classics subscription only provides access to the games, not any online multiplayer component. For this, players will need to purchase a PS Plus membership, which removes any savings from choosing Ubisoft+ Classics over PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium.
