Apple Vision Pro now has a native TikTok app

Apple Vision Pro is officially two weeks old and TikTok was conspicuously absent on launch day, but now our long national nightmare is over. Vision Pro has a native TikTok app.

This isn’t just an iPad app with a new coat of paint. Here are some neat features to take advantage of headset. The navigation bar and the like button have been moved completely off the screen, providing users with uninterrupted viewing of video content.

This also extends to comment sections and creator profiles, as they both now appear as extensions alongside TikTok’s feed, providing a “more immersive content viewing experience.” To that end, TikTok integrates with immersive headset environments, so people can watch short-form videos on the moon or surrounded by the lush flora of Yosemite.

TikTok also works with Vision Pro’s Shared Space feature, allowing the app to exist somewhere on your periphery while you work on other things. The app’s location will remain static, so it’ll be in the same place every time you put the headset on (provided you’re in the same room).

You can see that these features are mainly intended for content consumers, not creators. Engadget We’ve reached out to TikTok to ask about creator-specific features and will update this post when we hear back.

The app is currently available for download, though it won’t be available to TikTok’s core user base. The Apple Vision Pro costs $3,500. It’s like a whole childhood allowance.
