Apple’s Mac mini M2 is still the most affordable route to macOS, and the new deal has reduced the 512GB version of the device to its lowest price yet. Amazon currently has the compact desktop on sale for $676 when you clip the $53.01 page coupon, which beats the mini’s previous low by a few dollars and comes in about $25 below its regular street price over the past few months. Apple itself usually sells this configuration, which includes 8 GB of RAM, for $799. If you want to save more cash and only need minimal storage, 256 GB model also on sale for $500 with an $80 page coupon. That’s $20 more than the lowest price of the configuration and the price we’ve seen quite often in recent months, but $100 less than buying directly from Apple.

We gave away the Mac mini 86 points when it arrived more than a year ago, though that review applied to the version with Apple’s more powerful M2 Pro chip. This model, with its base M2 chip, won’t be quite as adept at video editing or 3D, but its design is just as compact, and it’ll be fast enough for web browsing, light work, and other, more casual needs.
