Are you looking forward to the next gaming product from Devolver Digital? Well, you’ll have to wait a little longer. The indie game studio will announce the nominees and winners of its annual Devolver Delayed Awards on its official YouTube page on Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET. Devolver’s tongue-in-cheek awards show aims to honor “the brightest, best indie games you haven’t played yet,” and yes, is still in that category.
It’s all part of Devolver’s satirical marketing strategy — like calling the event “the 15th annual,” though. It was “the first showcase to celebrate brands boldly moving into 2024,” the press release said.
Devolver will at least please us with more footage of some of these unplayable games. Headlines can include a minimalist brawler Stick to StickmenStory driven walking sim and the long-awaited ragdoll puzzle The Fall of Man 2. The studio also hinted that “something new” could appear for 2025.
