Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said that Xbox is exploring a handheld device for PC gaming . Earlier Spencer mentioned a hypothetical “Xbox gaming handheld device” that is now in early research and prototyping stages.
Spencer said IGN He said he likes the Asus ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go and Steam Deck, and if Xbox were to design a handheld console it would be important to include native gaming. as noted, it’s unclear what unique features the Xbox handheld will bring to the table. Working on an Xbox app that works on existing handhelds will be a priority for now, Spencer admits, leaving room for improvement.
