The game studio Enhance is celebrating its tenth anniversary and celebrating on this occasion two limited edition box sets showcasing the art and sound of their creative names. Founded by Tetsuya Mizuguchi, Enhance has released several excellent video games over the past decade, including Tetris Effect: Closed, Rez Infinite, Lumines Remastered and Humanity.
One collection—The Enhance Soundworks Collection Boxed Set—is based on music and soundtracks from the studio’s history. It includes nine LPs of soundtracks to each of the four games above, all on specially pressed vinyl. The box set also includes a liner booklet with insights into the music of the game’s composers and creators, a turntable, a poster and a set of pins. Only 505 of the collection will be sold and are scheduled to ship in spring 2025.
Another collection is called The Sounds & Visions: Enhance at 10 Boxed Set. It includes a 300-page oral history of the studio’s inception and its game projects, along with a laser-cut glass sculpture. Rez Infinitetraces of concept art for Tetris Effect: Closed and Rez Infiniteand a CD of audio tracks by Hydelic from the same pair of games. This set will begin deliveries in the summer of 2025 and is limited to 1,010 copies.
Available for each of these box sets pre-order now and will retail for $259. Even the packaging on these collectors’ items matches the blend of art, audio and design that has become a hallmark of Enhance’s work. Both of them and Engadget impressed the team with its thoughtful, meditative approach to gaming in an immersive, flow state.
