Another day, another publication contributing to the rise of AI. First, the likes Time and Dotdash Meredith is now partnering with OpenAI to license its properties Reuters Gives Meta’s AI chatbot access to news content for current events and answers to news questions, Axios reported first.
Essentially, the multi-year deal allows users in the US to now receive real-time news details from Meta’s AI chatbot tool. Reuters relevant stories.
The deal is Meta’s first AI-related news deal, but Reuters has been working with the company as a fact-checking partner since 2020. ReutersMeta AI can answer questions about news with summaries and links Reuters content,” a Meta spokesperson said.
The pair did not say whether Meta would gain access Reuters library for teaching its own learning language model, Llama. The exact figures of the settlement are also unclear, but sources say Reuters received compensation for this access.
