Prospective host/employees can set their service rates on their profile page. The company says it employs more than 10,000 people so far in countries including Australia, Brazil, France, Mexico and the US.

While this feature is a boon for actual people who need a little help, the phrase “completely hands-on” gives me pause. It seems that the platform could easily be used by huge real estate monoliths that own hundreds and hundreds of properties.
