The best early Prime Day deals we could find ahead of Amazon’s October Big Deal Days event

Since 2022, Amazon has held the second time Chief Day One of a kind in October and this sales event returns this year. Prime Big Deal Days are back October 8 and 9but we’re already starting to see some decent deals pop up on the Amazon site. As always, most of the deals we expect to see on October’s Prime Day will be for Prime members only – and some early Prime Day deals we’ve seen now have matched that. Don’t worry too much if you don’t have a Prime membership – there are always some discounts for all shoppers. However, if you’re paying $139 a year for Prime, now’s the time to put it to better use. We’re sure to see even more Amazon gear discounted on Prime Day in October, but for now, you can grab a Fire tablet on sale, as well as the Ring and Blink security cameras for less than usual.

• Amazon Echo Spot for $45 ($35 off): This recently revived smart display is billed as a smart alarm clock, and it has a customizable screen, a large volume for its size, and all the benefits of Alexa voice commands. You can also hold together with a free TP-Link smart bulb.

• Amazon Echo Show 5 + TP-Link Tapo Smart Bulb for $50 ($65 off): This bundle deal makes the duo 56 percent off one of our favorite compact smart displays and a smart light bulb that can be controlled with Alexa voice commands.

Yes, because most deals will be Prime exclusive. However, there are always a few decent deals available for all Amazon shoppers, so even if you don’t pay for Prime, it’s worth checking Amazon’s site during October Prime Day to see where you can save.

Early Prime Day deals that have expired

• Apple Pencil (1st generation) $69 ($30 off): If you have a 10th generation iPad or older model, you need to buy this stylus. We’ve seen this sale for a few weeks now, but it’s still $10 off the average sale price. It is also discounted Walmart.

• Beats Fit Pro headphones for $159 ($41 off): Our favorite couple overall headphones for running $41 on sale. They’ve often hit that price point over the past few months, but it’s a decent discount on buds we’ve found to be comfortable with a secure fit and excellent sound quality.

• Beats Studio Buds for $99 ($51 off): They are a a bit old at this point, however, the Studio Buds remain a decent buy under $100.
