There are many songs and Floating trends on TikTok which can be difficult to follow. If you’re open to singing — or at least humming — a little tune, that might change. TikTok started rolling out a new feature calledVoice Search” which allows you to hum, sing or play a song and the platform will show you tunes and videos that use it, TechCrunch reports.
This last point distinguishes it from him YouTube, allows you to search for the song in the same way, but does not capture the videos that contain it. It is also long ahead Shazamit requires playing the actual song rather than humming a few bars to identify it.
TikTok’s Voice Search works best when the song is more popular on the app. In some cases, the lyrics may instead show a video about the mentioned topic or lyrics instead of the actual song. The new feature can be accessed by going to the search bar, clicking on the microphone and selecting Voice Search. Currently, Voice Search is only available to a small group of users in select areas.
