The C200 is one of our favorite webcams and easily slips into second place on our list the best available models. We liked the easy setup, as you just plug it into your computer or docking station and start recording. It also integrates with the company’s AnkerWork software for editing and quick adjustments to brightness, sharpness and contrast ratio.
The default resolution is 2K, but you can adjust to 1080p, 720p or even 360p as the content requires. The field of view is similarly adjustable, so you can offer viewers an ultra-wide view of an extremely messy bedroom. It features dual stereo microphones with versatile vocal pickups and a built-in lens hood.
The webcam’s autofocus is quite fast, even compared to more expensive models, and its larger f/2.0 aperture helps keep the image bright even in dark environments. Overall image quality is not on par with our favorite webcam, Logitech Brio 500but it’s also less than half price.
We have some complaints about the C200. Adjusting the angle when sitting on the screen is a bit difficult due to the design. There is no short neck connecting the camera to the base. It’s just a thick piece of plastic that requires both hands to make adjustments. Also, the included USB-C cable is on the shorter side, so you may want to be prepared for a longer one, especially if you’re using a standing desk.
