ChatGPT has doubled its weekly active users to 200 million


According to OpenAI, ChatGPT now has 200 million weekly active users. This doubles the weekly audience of 100 million that the company announced last November. API usage has also doubled since July, a company representative told Engadget GPT-4o mini.

Microsoft has invested $13 billion in AI work since 2019, and Apple has announced that ChatGPT will make up a large part of its upcoming work.
