iRobot Roomba Combo Essential vacuum cleaner and mop hybrid robot . That’s a $75 discount and one of the best prices we’ve seen on this particular model. This version so this significant sale (outside of Prime Day) comes as something of a surprise.
It’s a completely budget-friendly entry to the company’s robot vacuum line, but it’s certainly no slouch. As the name suggests, it can handle both vacuuming and sweeping duties, which is always nice. The company says this model actually outperforms the popular Roomba 600 Series with 20 times more suction power.
It has a similar smart navigation algorithm as other iRobot vacuum cleaners and offers a robust battery life of 120 minutes. That’s certainly long enough to vacuum and mop the entire house, leaving time to chase the cats away. Like most of the company’s vacuum cleaners, there are connected apps that allow people to customize various settings and set up cleaning schedules.
There is one big downside though, which is true for most robots in this price range. There is no dedicated waste bin, so you have to take care of emptying and cleaning the vacuum. I have a budget robot vacuum and never found it to be a big deal. The emptying process takes less than a minute, although you should do it after every cleaning session.
