Z Fold 6 has something new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and more RAM than its predecessor. It also adds a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a brighter display (up to 2600 nits).
At Engadget, Sam Rutherford found the phone sharper and sleeker more than its predecessor. The Z Fold 6 features a new dual-rail hinge with Samsung’s improved Armor Aluminum for a lighter feel. The slightly changed dimensions of the main screen also improve the viewing experience. The phone has a 60 percent larger vapor chamber to help cool the phone even during intense gaming sessions.
For the Z Flip 6, you can also pre-order the 512GB model for the same price as the 256GB model ($1,099) and get a $200 Amazon gift card with your purchase.
The smaller foldable made more changes in this year’s upgrades. These include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12 GB of RAM, a 4,000 mAh battery (the largest of any Z Flip), and cameras that match the excellent cameras on the Galaxy S24: a 50 MP main and a 12 MP ultra-wide lens.
Of course, the 2024 wouldn’t be a flagship phone without AI features, and both phones have plenty. Both phones from the Galaxy S24 series get added generative tools like view assist, spelling, new translation tools and Circle for Search.
