Another notable game will be removed from digital storefronts. Developer Playground Games says It will be removed from the Microsoft Store and Steam on December 15th, and will no longer be available for digital purchase on either Xbox or PC. You can still make a physical copy.
Xbox will run frequent in-game sales on both storefronts until they are delisted. The standard edition is currently 80 percent off ($12). Forza Horizon 4 It will be available on the Microsoft Store on July 14.
Playground says the delisting is due to the expiration of license agreements. Forza Horizon 4 has digital versions of a ton of real-life cars and many licensed songs. It’s a shame it’s being discontinued – especially considering the Xbox was mentioned commitment to game conservation and this Forza Horizon 4 was — but delisting is sadly inevitable when developers can’t get licenses for deeply integrated aspects of their games in perpetuity. All the more reason to dive into the perfect sequel, if you haven’t.
Studio working on it there are these days that Forza Horizon 4‘s Festival Playlists are coming to an end. The latter will begin on July 25th and end on August 22nd after the broadcast of Episode 77. This will be your last chance to earn achievements tied to the Festival Playlist. After the end of the 77th series, there will be nothing to do except view the playlist history of the festival in the playlist tab. Daily and weekly challenges will still be available.
All Forza Horizon 4 DLC, has already been delisted, but if you’ve purchased any of the expansions and are playing the game, there’s good news. via Game Pass. If you have an active and fully paid (i.e. no discount) Xbox Game Pass subscription on June 25th and have purchased Forza Horizon 4 DLC, you will get a token that you can redeem for the base game. Playground notes that it may take a while for your code to enter the Xbox Message Center, but you’ll have until June 25, 2026 to redeem it.
Here’s another glimmer of light in the darkness, as the game’s servers will remain online for the foreseeable future. So apart from the Festival Playlists, Forza Horizon 4 It will be playable as normal, including online multiplayer modes.
