Apple’s recent ability to add links to external payment methods for App Store developers isn’t really that appealing. As part of its ongoing legal battle with Epic, Apple said at a hearing Friday that only 38 developers had applied to add such links — out of about 65,000. The changes were to satisfy a 2021 ban order issued by US District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers. BloombergRogers said during a recent hearing: “It seems to me that the intent was to protect the business model and revenue that you’ve had in the past.”
Less power for a better laptop.

The Alphabet-owned autonomous taxi company has announced that it now serves more than 50,000 paid trips between Phoenix, San Francisco and Los Angeles each week. Waymo One operates 24/7 in some of those cities, so if the company gets 50,000 rides a week, that’s five orders every minute.
