Polestar’s newest ride made its North American debut at the NY Auto Show, and notably, it doesn’t have a rear window. This is because rear passengers get better headroom and a more comfortable ride than other cars. Meanwhile, drivers get a high-resolution rearview mirror display connected to a live feed from the rear-mounted camera. Given how often people’s heads or trunks obscure the rearview, it’s a trade I’m willing to accept.

Unfortunately, that probably won’t happen, as Waffle House has been accused of underpaying its workers and subjecting them to an unsafe work environment given the above context.
