Microsoft is planning some more pre-Build AI announcements

It’s shaping up to be a busy spring , has multiple events over the next few months. It’s not just there and almost an Xbox showcase is coming , but Build is on the horizon. The company’s main developer conference will run from May 21 to May 23. However, it seems that three days isn’t long enough to squeeze in everything Microsoft wants to talk about.

The company sent Engadget an invite to a private event on May 20, the day before Build. Details are scarce, but Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has said it will explore an “artificial intelligence vision across hardware and software.” The briefing will not be broadcast live, but journalists attending in person will learn the news first and get hands-on demos.

Microsoft has an “AI vision” that spans hardware and software, according to recent reports from the company. This week’s event is expected to include at least the business and commercial-oriented versions of the OLED Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6.

It may not arrive until the consumer versions of the systems arrive although they are expected to have significant processor improvements that will provide “huge performance and efficiency gains.” . They are planned to have Intel Core Ultra or Snapdragon X Elite chips with next-generation neural processing units.

These chips are said to be able to support more advanced artificial intelligence features that Microsoft plans to bring to Windows later this year, such as on-device functions. and a tool called AI Explorer. The latter is described as a searchable graph of all your activity on the device.
