Lenovo debuts Core Ultra-powered laptops and hybrids with dedicated Copilot key


Lenovo announced several new business laptops and hybrids at this year’s MWC conference, including updates to its ThinkPad T-series and ThinkBook line. The company calls them “AI PCs” because they all have a dedicated Microsoft Copilot button that offers instant access to the digital assistant.

Newly announced models include ThinkPad T14 Gen 5, ThinkPad T16 Gen 3, ThinkPad X12 Detachable Gen 2 and ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 Gen 4. These computers are equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors. is expected with new Lenovo computers.

The ThinkPad X12 Detachable Gen 2 has a durable 3:2 display with Corning Gorilla Glass, and everything is powered by an Intel Core Ultra U processor. You can configure this tablet/laptop hybrid to multitask with up to 32GB of RAM. The detachable backlit folio keyboard has a three-button TrackPad, and the tablet has a 5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear camera.

The redesigned ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 Gen 4 has an ultra-slim 16.85mm profile, which is slightly thinner than the previous generation. It’s also lightweight, weighing just over 3.5 pounds. The 14-inch display has a 16:10 aspect ratio, and the keyboard has a larger touchpad made of glass-like Mylar. It also ships with a new Magnetic Slim Stylus for more nuanced touch controls.

In addition to Core Ultra processors and near-instant Copilot integration, the ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 and T16 Gen 3 are designed for DIY repair. The iFixit team was on hand to advise on the overall design, so there are plenty of customer-replaceable parts, making it easy to replace the DIMM, SSD, WWAN card, and battery, among other components. The ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 will be available in April this year and will be available in several SKUs starting at $950. The ThinkPad T16 Gen 3 will also be available this April and will start at $1,220.
