The latest experimental Threads features let you save drafts and take photos in-app


Meta is currently testing several features for Threads, led by Instagram’s Adam Mosser describes as some of the “most requested” features for the social network. One of these experimental features is the ability to save drafts. Users will be able to easily save their post as a draft and then edit and publish by swiping down on their mobile device screen. When a draft is saved, the application menu at the bottom of the screen highlights the writing icon. Currently, they can only save one draft, and it’s unclear if Meta has plans to allow users to save more.

Along with the drafts, Meta is also testing the in-app camera. It unlocks the mobile phone camera from within Threads itself so that users can more easily share photos and videos from their phones. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg posted a photo on the service that he said was taken with a new in-app camera the company is testing.

Meta told us that these are early tests for experimental features, meaning they may undergo a lot of changes before they get a wide release and are only available to a small number of people. Over the past month, Meta has also started testing bookmarking feature for Threads, which allows users to save posts that they can refer to later.
