Stardew Valley got the latest update on mobile and it’s a new stealth multiplayer mode. Developer ConcernedApe says it’s currently under wraps as it’s experimental, and mobile multiplayer could be “disappointing”.
Different on other platforms, mobile players cannot discover other people’s farms and can only connect via IP address. They can still connect to the PC-owned farm using their mobile devices. The developers also warn that it is not recommended to use the mobile network, as it may not be stable enough. The experience works best when both devices are on the same network, but it’s not mandatory.
To unlock the mobile multiplayer, you’ll need to touch the leaves in a certain sequence. This is actually part of the Konami code, but without the A and B buttons, as smartphones and tablets don’t have those buttons. The Stardew Valley There are instructions if you’re interested.
