The return of Metal Slug is almost upon us. It’s been three years since the spin-off Metal Slug Tactics . after The game finally has a definite release date of November 5th.
Instead of the classic run-and-gun gameplay of the original games, Metal Slug Tactics takes a more methodical approach to action. As the name suggests, this is a tactical RPG game. However, it retains the pixel art look of the older games. Metal Slug Tactics is presented as both a homage to its predecessors and a new spin on the series with some roguelite elements designed to increase replayability.
In their latest trailer, developer Leikir Studio and publisher Dotemu present a new look at the game. It reveals three additional characters that appeared in previous games from original publisher SNK in Clark Still, Ralph Jones, and Leona Heidern.
Latest new main game, Metal Slug 7It debuted in 2008. Since then Metal Slug Tactics was announced, several other spin-offs arrived in the form of mobile titles Metal Slug: Commander and Metal Slug: The Awakeninglater came to PC. However, it is closed for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
