Medical record tracking comes to Samsung Health

To implement these changes, Samsung is working with the b.well Connected Health platform, which is designed to give people access to health information. They can access previous medical records, including vaccinations, prescriptions and special medical tests.

Samsung Health doesn’t just provide data from the past. It can also provide recommendations for next steps and actions, as well as prompt users to seek medical attention.

Samsung Health has had it since late last year feature. Now, Samsung says the feature is coming to South Korea and India, and that it’s partnering with healthcare providers in those countries as needed.

A recent notable update involves monitoring food intake. Samsung Health now has a barcode scanner for easier food labeling. The company is partnering certified food and nutrition information provider. As a result, you can scan a barcode to get nutritional information instantly. This feature is being rolled out first in the US and some EU countries, including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Poland. There are plans to expand to other regions in the future.

Samsung isn’t just working to improve people’s health with the Samsung Health app. FDA greenlit a feature for this year’s Galaxy Watch.
