YouTube is testing a new version Premium Lite subscription level A Google representative in Australia, Germany and Thailand confirmed. There would be limited ads described in the fine print the most videos are ad-free, “but you may see video ads and interstitials in music content and Short films when you search and browse.”
The original Premium Lite subscription began testing in Europe in 2021, but it only lasted a few years and was canceled in October 2023. It was very “lite, it didn’t look offline or in the background like a regular Premium subscription.
The pricing model for these initial trials in Australia is $9 per month for Premium Lite, compared to $17 per month for full Premium access, roughly in line with the original Lite costs.

Amazon Studios wants another gaming hit.
After his success FalloutAmazon wants its next Prime Video game adaptation to live up to that level — and it’s apparently willing to reboot to do so. Deadline reports that God of War the showrunner and two executive producers left the project due to a change in direction. The series is a 2018 reboot adaptation of the franchise.
Moley Robotics wants to bring robots to the kitchen.
It looks like the antagonist millionaires have bought the kitchen Ex Machina or Knives Out would be tempted by Moley Robotics’ X-AiR price starts at $105,000. So far, Moley hasn’t installed a single robot, but expects the process to begin in the next three to six months — people have already bought the arm.
The X-AiR has no built-in vision or sensing technology. Instead, the robot arm moves through its space from memory, knowing where all the ingredients, oils and tools should be.
