A new trailer for the new six-episode spinoff series was released on the opening day of New York Comic Con. Dune: The ProphecyA prequel to the last film by Denis Villeneuve.
The premiere of the new series will be on November 17, at 21:00 on the HBO channel. Each episode will air on Max on Sundays after the TV broadcast.
The Dune prequel based on the novel Sisterhood of Dune By Kevin J. Anderson and son Brian Herbert Dune creator and science fiction writer Frank Herbert. The new HBO series takes place 10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atreides as the Bene Gesserit begin their rise to power.
It tells the story of two Harkonnen sisters, Valya and Thula, played by Emily Watson and Olivia Williams, who form a sisterhood that will become the Bene Gesserit, a social, spiritual and political order of powerful women who seek to rule and shape the Universe. Other members of the cast include Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May and Mark Strong.
