Uber Eats adds a social element to ordering delivery tacos in the form of curated lists. Garden variety users can assemble one of these lists in the “Account” tab, pulling menu items from preferred local pursuits.
All lists are shareable by default, so users can send them to friends and family. I don’t want other people to know about the shameful food I eat while watching their episodes Frasierbut maybe that’s just me.
This can be really useful for certain scenarios, like when you’re sick in bed and want someone else to handle the pick-up. Just refer your friends and family to the list. Uber Eats also said any custom listing has a chance to end up in the home feed, making the creator a local food influencer for the day.
Speaking of food influencers, the app will also feature curated lists of pseudo-celebrities. Uber Eats advertises Sam Robin’s first presence Ella Kahan and Emma Matarasso and others. How this will work in smaller markets remains to be seen.
