Creami relies on a patent for an innovation previously found only in the restaurant business. After its expiration date, Ninja had the chance to incorporate its design into a relatively affordable consumer product. The result is a quick, easy and surprisingly delicious homemade ice cream.

Instead of the churning method used by most ice cream makers, Ninja Creami uses a scoop-like bowl to mix the frozen liquid base into a delicious dessert. While it’s pretty loud when it’s doing its job, it’s still quieter than most countertop blenders — and it’s only noisy for a few minutes.
When review of the standard Creami model (this Deluxe includes additional bowls and adjustments), Engadget’s Sam Rutherford concluded that ultimately tasting the ice cream was “the best part.” It produces desserts with intense flavor and smooth texture. This high-end model also makes smoothies and Frappuccino-style coffee drinks.
“Because the base is folded instead of folded, there’s less air inside your finished product,” our reviewer said he wrote. “This is good because it increases the flavor intensity and gives a slightly denser, more luxurious mouthfeel. It’s almost closer to frozen custard than ice cream.”
