A new comeback Rugrats game has been announced last year almost to the day. Rugrats: Adventures in Playland seems inspired by the classic NES platformers that fueled your childhood fun and frustration (funstration?). The game comes in two modes: an HD mode with Nicktoon-like graphics, and a custom 8-bit mode that looks like it came out on a throwback console.
You will be able to play as Tommy, Chuckie, Phil and Lil as you go through the house of pickles. They claim that their nursery has become its own video game, which might be the most amazing meta thing ever.
Rugrats: Adventures in Playland can be played solo or in two-player co-op mode. Limited Run Games is also releasing the game orange and classic gray NES cartridges but you missed your chance to buy because they are already sold out.
