Google has officially confirmed the availability of the Pixel 9 Pro smartphone before August A live streaming event powered by Google. This follows a leak earlier this week pictures and videos of the phone began to appear everywhere.
The company confirmed the smartphone through a announcement video, could wait until August 13. The video doesn’t have many details, but there are some images of the phone that confirm the main suspicions about the Pixel 9 Pro. The absolutely massive camera bump is real and ready to make obvious dents in pockets everywhere.
Just look at that gorgeous thing. It looks like a 3D approximation of Bump Bender of Futurama the head One thing is certain. If you buy a Pixel 9 Pro later this year, make sure you also get the newly designed case. It is impossible for previous cases to fit into this horror.
Beyond the camera bump, Google’s video talks about heavy integration with the company’s Gemini family of AI models. The related marketing copy simply says “oh hello, AI” and the video shows a chatbot answering a query. This emphasis on artificial intelligence should come as no surprise. It is the year 2024.
You can register for phone information directly from Google. While we don’t have any actual specs, there’s likely a huge bump for a reason (a really good camera system).
There have been other leaks ahead of next month’s event, though this is the only one that has proven to be real. However, these leaks suggest that the Pixel Pro 9 will join with garden variety Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro XL and a foldable called Pixel 9 Pro Fold. As always, we’ll be on stage on August 13 to report on everything Google announces.
