A hacking group reportedly leaked confidential data from thousands of Disney Slack channels.


A hacker group leaked more than a terabyte Confidential information from over 10,000 Disney-owned Slack channels The Wall Street Journal informed Monday. The leaked information included advertising campaigns, computer code, details about unreleased projects and discussions about interview candidates. “Disney is looking into this matter,” a company spokesperson said Journal.

Nullbulge calls itself an artist rights hacktivist group. A spokesperson for the group told the Journal that it targeted Disney because of concerns about the company’s handling of artist contracts and its approach to generative artificial intelligence. Group for weeks teased his access to Disney’s Slack places snippets of confidential information on X, such as attendance figures for the Disneyland parks. Generative AI has been around for over a year caused tensions among creative community members accusing the companies and corporations that make and use the technology of using their work to train AI models without consent or compensation.
