Ooni makes some of our choices . While we generally recommend the larger models, if you prefer to make smaller pies or want a more compact model for camping trips, there’s no harm in going for the Karu 12 or Koda 12.

The multi-fuel Ooni Karu 12 is 20 percent off, and if you grab one now, there’s plenty of summer outdoor pizza ahead.
The Karu is a multi-fuel oven that uses your choice of wood, charcoal or gas to cook your pizza. Please note that if you prefer this fuel, you will need to purchase a gas stove separately. Unfortunately, the Karu 12 also doesn’t come with a shell.
Ooni says the Karu can reach temperatures of 12,950°F or 500°C, and it can reach an optimal cooking temperature of 850°F or 450°C in just 15 minutes. From there, it will take only 60 seconds to bake a cake. In addition to cooking pizza, Karu 12 can also bake, roast and fry. You can control the temperature by adjusting the air flow in the chimney. The oven weighs 26 pounds (12 kg).
As for the Koda 12, it’s a gas-powered model that comes with a regulator and hose to connect to a propane tank (you still need to buy a separate shell). It’s also more compact than the Karu 12, weighing in at 20.4 pounds (9.25 kg).
