iPad support has arrived for the Nintendo emulator Delta with its latest update

Good news for anyone who has been waiting for a better way to run Delta game emulator on iPad – iPad support is here with version 1.6 available now. The latest update is a major update that introduces not only an iPad-optimized version of the emulator, but also seamless switching between iPhone and iPad, some improvements to DS compatibility, new skins and menu button gestures, and a new logo. (Delta had to scrap its old logo After Adobe threatened to sue on similarities with signature ‘A’).

Delta version 1.6 update is released on both versions App Store and AltStore PAL. It comes in three months Delta creator Riley Testut promised iPad support was on the way and will allow both full screen and multiple windows using Stage Manager and Split View. Before launching and downloading it, heed the developers’ warnings about DS games: “This update is incompatible with existing DS save states. Please save in game before updating to avoid losing progress.” The Delta team also created a new program, Delta Legacy, to help users transfer their save states. Instructions for the process are on Delta site.
