Peak Design iPhone Tripod it’s a solid, well-designed aluminum frame that folds into a shape about the size of a credit card. You pay a premium for the build design and quality, even with a small hex key included in the tripod legs to tighten them when needed.
With the sturdy micro ball head, you can adjust the angle of your iPhone while it’s in tripod mode. Even better, it can firmly stick to the phone in both vertical and horizontal orientations with a magnet. This makes it a great stand for your phone even when you’re not trying to take videos or photos.
You also don’t need to review the Peak Design case to make it work, although it feels more firmly attached if you do. Any MagSafe iPhone attaches to the peripheral and stays firmly on this mobile stand when in use or folded.
There are many more affordable MagSafe phone stands available Moft’s Snap-On Stand and Walletwhich supports iPhone while holding multiple credit cards, Anker’s MagGo phone holderand now everywhere PopSockets. While MagSafe accessories like these are convenient, they won’t be as sturdy as something securely attached to your smartphone or smartphone case. All the MagSafe stands, wallets, chargers, and other accessories I’ve tried eventually fell off if I applied enough force.
