8BitDo Retro Mechanical Keyboard supports custom key mapping and works wired or wireless. The “N Edition” takes cues from the NES with a white/dark gray/black color scheme. The Fami Edition takes inspiration from the Japanese Famicom with its white and red color palette.
Both variants feature dials and a power indicator with an old-school charm in keeping with their retro motif. The Fami Edition pays homage to the Famicom’s 1980s regional presence (and Nintendo’s homeland) with Japanese characters below the English.
Keyboard Super Keys are accessories that you can customize for any action you want. You can set them as shortcuts for saving documents, closing windows, attacking in games, or anything else you want. The buttons are connected to the keyboard via a 3.5 mm jack.
The keyboard works for about 200 hours on a single (four hour) charge. It has 87 keys and supports Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless and USB modes. Although only officially compatible with Windows and Android, the accessory also works with macOS.
