we called 1080p version of this device “Great little streaming dongle” and that certainly applies to the newer 4K model. It supports HDR and is compatible with almost any TV with an HDMI port. Once connected, it broadcasts via Wi-Fi.
The model also allows users to watch live TV in 4K. It works with various live TV providers like YouTube TV, Pluto TV, Sling TV and Philo. It ships with a voice remote built into Google Assistant, which allows people to order things they want to watch.
As with most streaming sticks, users can stream content from their phones or tablets. There’s also the option to create a kid-friendly profile, complete with family-friendly content and strong parental controls.
However, there is a caveat here. This model is probably on sale. The company seems to be a priority the recently released Google TV Streamerreduces dongle design in favor of the wedge. It has more memory and faster CPU compared to the aforementioned dongle. The company also implemented some artificial intelligence in the new device, because now everyone has to. However, the Google TV Streamer costs $100. I’d go for the $40 Chromecast myself.
