Prince of PersiaThis modern reboot of the classic platformer, published by Broderbund in 1989, is still in early access mode, but it’s getting a bunch of new, great-sounding stuff next week. The developer posted a blog about Evil Empire contains information about the new update and features a new teaser trailer with some gameplay footage.
The Steam page says the update “effectively doubled the game’s content from launch.” “Act Two” includes the second act and “tons of story polish for Act 1” plus more biomes, bosses and enemies. The update will also add more “Quality of Life” features such as multiple saves and localization for German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish players. The main character of the game will also look quite different – RIP Prince of Purple.
The new update drops on November 21st. Prince of Persia even as a baby, he was already smooth and inventive. It’s been updated quite a bit since early access, but next week’s update will likely be its biggest yet. It’s shaping up to be a good mix of classic gameplay with new visuals and a modern roguelite gameplay twist, as seen in other indie games. Hell.
