Delta Air Lines is no stranger to CES, one of the biggest tech events in the world. Today the company Delta CEO Ed Bastian will be a keynote speaker at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, January 7-10, 2025. Most notable is where it’s happening – Bastian’s keynote will take place at the Sphere, the most immersive entertainment venue ever. Like U2, The Eagles and Phish, as well as a film by director Darren Aranofsky.
Bastian said Delta intends to use three new generations of technology at the Sphere venue in Las Vegas. First the world’s largest LED screen, and the second is the internal display plane, an LED screen with the highest resolution in the world. The third technology is Sphere Immersive Sound, the most advanced technology of its kind and powered by HOLOPLOT. All three are Sphere technologies designed to “connect with key audiences, boldly use next-generation technologies to deliver unique experiences and amplify their messages,” according to Jennifer Koester, Sphere’s president and CEO.
This will be Delta’s third CES exhibit, following appearances in 2020 and 2023. 2020 event such as “connecting to parallel reality displays” that can display specific messages to multiple travelers at the same time. The Delta keynote is scheduled for January 7th at 5PM PT/8AM ET. Those who want to hear him in person must register for CES 2025, and the keynote is also ticketed separately.
