Google provides examples of how to task the software to focus on a topic or adjust the level of experience to suit a specific audience. The company says it’s like “swiping a quick note right before the AI goes live.”
There’s also a new background listening feature, which is just what it sounds like. People can listen to audio reviews while doing other things in NotebookLM. Google says users can query sources, get citations, and research relevant citations “without interrupting the audio.”
It’s also worth noting that the company has removed NotebookLM’s “experimental” tag, so I’m guessing the experiment was a huge success. Anyway, the software back in december.
