Yesterday, Adobe announced the new Firefly Video Model generative AI A video editing model developed by the company in conjunction with Generative Extend, a feature of Premiere Pro. Today, Adobe is teasing some experimental photo and video editing tools for PhotoShop and Premiere Pro. Since they are part of Adobe’s “sneaks” previews, they are still being tested and no launch date is available.
There are nine features in total, and we’ll start with Project Perfect Blend for PS, which improves natural blending and makes shadowing more realistic, creating more vibrant images. Project Clean Machine removes photo flashes, fireworks, and objects that block the camera’s view.
One notable feature is Project In Motion, which allows users to turn custom shape animations into video by entering a query, while Project Know How is a content verification tool that can search online for the source of a video file.
Project Turntable allows users to flip 2D vector art in 3D, allowing the 2D vector art to face in any direction they choose. A generative AI model fills in any gaps to create presentable 3D vector art.
Another standout tool is Project Super Sonic, which creates sound effects by clicking on objects in a prompt or video. The latter method can generate sounds without writing instructions to a generative AI model. Project Super Sonic seems useful for people who want to design the sounds they want.
Adobe is also working on Microsoft Copilot integration in Project Scenic. This tool creates 3D scene layouts using Kopilot instructions, and objects in the camera and layout can be adjusted.
Project Remix A Lot uses generative artificial intelligence to create images of various shapes and sizes that are fully editable. In other words, users can “remix” creations into whatever form they like, including unusual ones.
Finally, we have the Hi-Fi Project. With this tool, it is possible to turn sketches and concepts into high-quality images. These images can easily be dragged into PhotoShop for editing.
