Astro Botone Sony’s biggest winsgets new content for those living life in the fast lane (or at least playing PS5). Developer Team Asobi he said First of five free speedrunning levels on Wednesday teased in Sony’s September Status It will arrive on Thursday, October 17.
The first is the speed level Construction Speedhere you will get help from your robot bulldog friend Barkster. The Asobi team promises you to ‘blast your way through a sky-high city’. Dodging taps, smashing crates and flying through a flying car wash are all part of the festivities. It sounds more like cute, 3D platformer fun Illustrated by Engadget’s Jessica Conditt as equivalent to “Super Mario Bros. for a new generation of video game fanatics.
Tomorrow’s first level will be followed by a new sprint stage on each of the next four Thursdays. This includes Let it slide on October 24 Spring loaded run On October 31 Helium heights on November 7 and Rising Heat on November 14.
Speedrun levels are all free. You should see them at 9:00am ET on launch dates.
Each level will add two new bots to rescue. Team Asobi already teased Eve Star Blade and Helldiversbut you can expect more fun surprises from them.
Team Asobi sounds like it has more content on tap. In the announcement blog post, the developers invited you to stay tuned because “there may be more surprises coming soon” for Sony’s latest PlayStation-exclusive success story.
