Steam Deck comes to Australia in November

Australian gamers will no longer have to buy a Steam Deck at an exorbitant price from a reseller or import it into the country with the help of an overseas friend. At PAX Australia, Valve announced that it will start selling the handheld gaming device in the country starting in November. Currently, Steam Deck is still only available in the US, Canada, UK, and EU, as well as through Komodo’s website in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. But Valve updated it official page of the console “Your games are down from November 2024,” with an announcement.

Both the LCD and OLED versions will be available in Australia, with the 256GB LCD variant setting buyers back AUD$649. The 512GB OLED console will retail for AUD$899, while the 1TB OLED version will retail for AUD$1,049. Valve OLED released Steam Deck Like last year’s mid-cycle update with a better screen, better battery life, better haptics, and overall better components than the original. Its OLED screen has thinner bezels, comes with native support for HDR, and has a faster frame rate.

Although the LCD version is not as good as its new sister, we still love it one of the best handheld computers in the market. It’s still powerful enough to run most Steam games, including AAA titles, and it’s cheaper than an OLED console.
