New season Star Trek: The Lower Decks almost here with a trailer to prove it. The fifth and, sadly, final season looks to be the same unchecked shenanigans and familiar humor that Trek fans love so much about the show.
The trailer is full of nonsensical hijinks and jokes drawn from the vast world of Star Trek. Eagle-eyed viewers will spot the Borg, a strange sexual decontamination sauna Star Trek: Enterprise and a bunch of Harry Kims. That’s right. There are at least seven Harry Kims floating around this trailer. My Delta Quadrant best friend is finally getting the respect he deserves.
For those who don’t know, Star Trek: The Lower Decks is an animated show directed by creator Mike McMahon Solar contradictions and worked in its first seasons Rick and Morty. It follows some low-ranking Starfleet officers right after the events of the 1990s, e.g. Star Trek: The Next Generation. very funny especially for long time fans. It was also recently canceled.
Now, I don’t know anything about viewership numbers because Paramount+ keeps that stuff close to the (red) vest. However, Star Trek: The Lower Decks seems quite popular, doesn’t it? Also, it’s a cartoon, so it can’t be as expensive as something to make Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. I can’t imagine Jack Quaid and Tawny Newsome commanding jaw-dropping salaries, so why cancel it? You know what I’m getting at. #SaveLowerDecks.
