Absurdist romance sim Date Everything! has been delayed to Valentine’s Day 2025

You’ll have to wait a little longer for your world closing, final wish fulfillment video game. History for everything!the amazing quirky romantic sim Team17 and Sassy Chap Games are no longer coming on October 24th because originally announced. On Friday, the team pushed back the game’s release date to Valentine’s Day 2025.

At the level of game design, History for everything! it looks like a simple dating simulator with dialogue arms and voice characters. What sets it apart is its delightfully absurd premise: You can date all your household items thanks to magical glasses known as Dateviators.

Each of your historical objects has a distinct personality and a branching storyline. Your romantic possibilities include laundry (fiery “Harper”), vacuuming (sizzling “Hoof”) and an existential dread (and shirtless) who prefers to be known simply as “Doug.” While this bunch may seem unappetizing for a romantic getaway, it can still beat today’s microtransaction-ridden dating apps.

Depending on your dialog section choices, each anthropomorphized object can become Love, Friend, or Hate. The game’s press release promised that each outcome would affect “the critical path that ties everything together,” so choose wisely between a lamp and a towel dressed as Liberace.

History for everything! Coming to Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on February 14, 2025.
