Ours review of OnePlus 12we said that the affordability of the smartphone is one of its best features. Now thank you Amazon upcoming Prime Day sale, this is an even more attractive point. The 19 percent discount brings the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model down to $650. This is an all-time low (it has traded at $700 several times before). The Model with 16GB/512GB also $150 off and reduced to $750.
This is a new low price for an (already quite affordable) Android smartphone.
In addition to being a great value for a flagship phone, the OnePlus also has solid cameras that take sharp and clear images. Just note that the camera module is surprisingly large, and unless you choose to remove it, you’ll see a watermark from Hasselblad (the camera company that OnePlus partners with).
Battery life is another win. We measured over 26 hours of life in our video summary test. And after just 10 minutes of wall charging, the phone went from 10 percent to 55 percent. It charged up to 37 percent simultaneously while sitting on the OnePlus wireless charger, which retails for $50 separately.
The design is pleasingly “retro” (if you can apply that term to an aesthetic that goes back only five years), with the rounded corners and tapered edges of something like the Galaxy S10+. The OnePlus 12 also takes notes from the past when it comes to AI – as it ditches the buzzy new tech in favor of basic (but solid) smartphone functionality.
The display and processor are completely modern, but with a super bright and 120 Hz display and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip that we found offered fluid performance despite slightly lower scores in some benchmarks.
Amazon also sells elsewhere OnePlus Open At $1,300, that’s a $400 discount on the phone we call more A convenient choice for a flagship folding. That’s the price the Open hit earlier, as recently as last month.
